Background
At YPN we believe that emerging forms of participation can unlock new opportunities for youth to transform their lives and communities. We support the growth of people who lack access to professional development resources, to develop their capacities and help them build the networks to sustain their development.
Young Professionals Network (YPN) is a cooperative development platform composed of young professionals and different kinds of other entities, such as nonprofit organisations, youth organizations, business associations, freelancers, and businesses.
It was formally established by a group of young and motivated professionals coming from different working backgrounds who, after being part of several programmes supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, decided to establish this platform to replicate the gained knowledge in their home countries on addressing some of the challenges identified.
Establishing a union for young professionals has been one of the recommendations of several meetings and reports conducted for youth in Albania. Also, it is in line with some of the goals of the European Youth Strategy 2019–2027 1by contributing in this way to increase the quality of life of young professionals in Albania, reduce migration intentions, and positively influence the process of Albania's integration in the EU.
